HISTORY OF DEZAMET
In 1939 within the confines of the Central Industrial Zone, Third Ammunition Factory was founded. This factory gave rice to today's Dezamet Stock
Company.
On 1st January 1951 by Ministry of Heavy Industry Regulation state company named "Metal Plant Deba" was founded. This plant within the space of some years
was fitted with machines and equipment, which let to start production for the national defence.
Till 1994 plant run its business as a state owned company. From 1951 to 1990 the company, in fast motion, developed its production potential producing a
large range of civil production for the national market as well as for export.
During above mentioned period there were produced 2,5 million different kind of electric irons, kettles, toasters, other household equipment and bearings.
There were also produced 200 thousand per year different types of motorcycles' engines of from 50 to 175 cm3 capacity.
At those times the company was numbered among companies connected with the national defence. At peak period there were 5000 employees in Dezamet.
Years 1990- 2000 it's period of very difficult but successfully ended restructuring. On 29th October 1994 State Owned Company "Dezamet"
was transformed into Stock Company and under the name "Dezamet" Metal Works it realises it's mission.
At the end of 2003 Dezamet is consolidated in BUMAR GROUP, where main companies of military branch manufacturing armour equipment,
ammunition, rockets and other military equipment were grouped. Foreign Trade Enterprise BUMAR Ltd possesses control stock package of Dezamet.
