120 MM MORTAR AMMUNITION

 

120 mm mortar ammunition, currently under development, is designed to be fired from a self-propelled mortar RAK.

 

Versions:


  • 120 mm HE mortar bomb;
  • 120 mm illuminating mortar bomb;
  • 120 mm smoke mortar bomb.

 

 

 

120 MM HE MORTAR BOMB

 

The 120 mm cartridge with a fragmentation and demolition projectile is designed for the purpose of flailing enemy live force, fire means, as well as for destroying equipment and field fortifications. This cartridge is fired from the self-propelled automatic mortar "RAK". It is armed with a bump fuse.

 

 

120 MM ILLUMINATING MORTAR BOMB

 

The 120 mm mortar cartridge with illuminating projectile is designed for firing from the RAK self-propelled mortar in wheeled (M120K) and tracked (M120G) chassis variants and is used for:
- illuminating the area at night,
- indicating targets,
- blinding enemy observation systems.
The cartridge consists of the following assemblies: 120 mm mortar illuminating projectile, PMZ-10 programmable mortar fuse, hardware assembly and a set of propelling charges.

 

 

120 MM SMOKE MORTAR BOMB

 

The 120 mm mortar cartridge with a smoke shell is used to put up a smoke screen, either singly or with several shells, in order to camouflage the activities of own troops (fire means, resistance nests, command points) and to blind enemy observation systems. The emitted smoke masks in the visible and infrared light range.
The cartridge is designed for firing from the RAK self-propelled mortar in variants on wheeled (M120K) and tracked (M120G) chassis.
The cartridge consists of the following assemblies: 120 mm mortar smoke shell, PMZ-10 programmable mortar fuse, hardware assembly and a set of propelling charges.
